What We Did

Skill training centres of SkillPro has a competitive team with excellence in implementing large scale skill development programs. This skill training focuses on people with minimum educational qualification (class VII and above) with no skills and employability. They are trained for 3-4 months, in the trade, based on their aptitude and would be prepared for entry level jobs. Here, the focus is on subject specific content delivery, practical sessions, on the job training and development of soft skills. It would also include linking them to employers for apprenticeship or on the job training. Salient features of skill training programs of SkillPro include:

Initiated more than 50 centres across Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, Jammu and Kashmir and Dadra & Nagar Haveli

Coverage on more than 40000+ unemployed youth from marginalised sections of society

Focus on new and emerging sectors like IT enabled services, customer relations management, sales and marketing, bed side nursing, automobile repairs etc

Focus on soft skills with in addition to technical skills

Short term, 2-4 month courses

Collaborations with industries like PepsiCo, Future Group, Cafe Coffee Day, YOU Broadband

The programme is highly sensitive to market demand and takes up only those employable trades which have demand in the local market. The training curriculum is also designed in consultation with the local business establishments and enterprises. This not only ensures a match between the market or industry expectations and the skills of the trainee but also helps in getting them entry level jobs easily.

European Commission supported project being implemented along with Aide et Action Covers all 23 districts of Andhra Pradesh Key Components include Assessment , Capacity building, Development of model vocational education institutions, Scale up initiatives, Fostering market linkages, Policy advocacy Impact over 28,000 youth and 5000 teachers of the vocational education system of state.

SkillPro targets to reach 15,000 youth under this program in collaboration with Gujarat Urban Development Mission, under its UMEED program

SkillPro in collaboration with CII is training 3000 youth in Sirsa and Sitapur

SkillPro in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry have training centers in Patna, Guwahati and Srinagar for training youth for HPCL.

SkillPro worked with Hyderabad Gems Special Economic Zone to provide skill training to 10,000 youth in various aspects of gems and diamond cutting

SkillPro, Aide et Action and Hindustan Unilever Limited implemented a collaborative project for skill training of youth in Silvassa in Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

SkillPro has entered into collaboration with Madhya Pradesh Rural Livelihoods Project to train youth from Dhar district in the state in market oriented trades.

SkillPro was the technical partner in implementing “Community Outreach Program” for training youth from families who have parted land for the establishment of a state of art Apparel Park at Atchutapuram – Vishakhapatnam.

Project in nellore is done in collaboration with Labornet. In Ananthpur & Kalyandurg, skill training and placement is done in collaboration with Accion Fraterna Ecology Centre.
